Seating: 37, VIP seats: 3) FC Lëtzebuerg's Cédric Payen started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Stefan Wrobel made an important save on a dangerous shot by Cédric Payen in the 5th minute. The supporters of BiBa booed when FC Lëtzebuerg was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 7 match minutes in a wonderful position. Kurt Tudor didn't get a good kick on the ball. 8 minutes into the game, Ulf Schilder was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. BiBa's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave FC Lëtzebuerg the free kick. Ulf Schilder hit a great freekick 8 minutes into the match. FC Lëtzebuerg's supporters rose to their feet, but Bernd Chevalier was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. FC Lëtzebuerg were furious when Nicolas Behr was red carded, 12 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. 11 minutes into the game, one of FC Lëtzebuerg:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Bobby Krier had in the 13thth minute some difficulties stopping Markus Katzwinkel's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. FC Lëtzebuerg's Bobby Krier played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Heiko Yuschni in the 17th minute of play. After 26 played minutes FC Lëtzebuerg got a freekick which was hit by Tim Tudor. Heiko Yuschni received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 29th minute. Bobby Krier tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to FC Lëtzebuerg getting a freekick after 30 minutes play. Abraham Pflaumenbaum hit a great ball. In the 32nd match minute, FC Lëtzebuerg was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tim Tudor to maneuver through the defense. BiBa's Stefan Wrobel proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 35th minute of the match, managed to save BiBa from getting a goal against them. Kurt Tudor charged in rather forcefully in the 44th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Kurt Tudor the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 44 played minutes FC Lëtzebuerg got a freekick which was hit by Kurt Tudor. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.
Ivan Apfelbaum received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 50th minute. Stefan Wrobel tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Aaron Chevalier kicked well hit freekick during the 59th minute of the match. Ulf Schilder kicked well hit freekick during the 63rd minute of the match. Stefan Wrobel showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cédric Payen, who was totally free with the ball in the 70th minute. Ulf Schilder hit a great freekick 74 minutes into the match. 76 minutes into the match, BiBa's goal looked a bit too open when Bernd Chevalier came free, but Stefan Wrobel reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. FC Lëtzebuerg's Bobby Krier played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Heiko Yuschni in the 81st minute of play. After 82 minutes FC Lëtzebuerg's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Severin Katzer who took care of the corner kick. It was a well-played corner which Wolf Attenberger managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. Severin Katzer hit a great freekick 86 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cédric Payen in the 93rd minute of play forced BiBa's goalkeeper Stefan Wrobel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 95 minutes, Cédric Payen mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the FC Lëtzebuerg and the BiBa players grew even worse after the yellow card. For all the effort they put into the match, the BiBa players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for FC Lëtzebuerg.
