The PEÇONHENTO FC MG fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Vito Furlan should have stopped the shot. After 27 played minutes PEÇONHENTO FC MG got a freekick which was hit by Fernandão da Rocha. Through an outstanding action, after 28 minutes, Vito Furlan successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. 31 minutes into the match, PEÇONHENTO FC MG's goalkeeper Vito Furlan had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Randle Rutledge. Randle Rutledge received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Vito Furlan came out and tried to block the shot, but Randle Rutledge slotted it home off the left post making it 5-0 in the 31st minute. Randle Rutledge struck a weak shot in the 34th minute. Vito Furlan didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Manly FC. Randle Rutledge kicked well hit freekick during the 37th minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Randle Rutledge got free with Vito Furlan in the 42nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Vito Furlan made an important save on a dangerous shot by Randle Rutledge in the 45th minute. With a little luck, PEÇONHENTO FC MG's Vito Furlan got control of the ball when Randle Rutledge tried to sneak it across the goal line. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 5-0 at half-time.

In the 89th minute the ball was on its way in behind PEÇONHENTO FC MG's goalkeeper Vito Furlan, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 90 minutes into the game, one of PEÇONHENTO FC MG:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. There was no doubt that Manly FC were the better team. Manly FC's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
