Mădălin Nicodim started the match with the kick off. After having played for 2 minutes, Nicodim Voiculescu managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Phoenix Baia-Mare -MM-'s supporters crossed their fingers, but Nicodim Voiculescu was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Scorpions -MM-'s Cristinel Zdrobiş played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Narcis Aursulesei in the 4th minute of play. After 4 played minutes Scorpions -MM- got a freekick which was hit by Teodor Capătă. A collision led to Phoenix Baia-Mare -MM- getting a freekick after 7 minutes play. Mădălin Nicodim hit a great ball. Eric Cimpoieru struck a weak shot in the 9th minute. Nae Costin didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Scorpions -MM-. After 11 played minutes Phoenix Baia-Mare -MM- got a freekick which was hit by Narcis Aursulesei. Nae Costin showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Eric Cimpoieru in the 12th minute of the match. 14 minutes into the game, Eric Cimpoieru cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Nae Costin was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Nicodim Voiculescu's late challenge caught a Scorpions -MM-'s player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Nicodim Voiculescu helped the player get up and apologised. Nicodim Voiculescu hit a great freekick 18 minutes into the match. Nae Costin showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Augustin Vergulescu in the 20th minute of the match. In the 21st minute, Calistrat Bebeșel hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Augustin Vergulescu took the ball and in the 32 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Nae Costin. Nae Costin dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. In the 35th minute, Nicodim Voiculescu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Mădălin Nicodim came free with the goalkeeper in the 37th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Cristinel Zdrobiş could save by the left post. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

In the 50th minute, Calistrat Bebeșel had to be helped off the field due to a pulled leg muscle. When Eric Cimpoieru fell near the penalty area in the 50th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Scorpions -MM-'s protests and gave Eric Cimpoieru a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Scorpions -MM-'s Eric Cimpoieru got a free kick in the 52nd minute. Cristinel Zdrobiş took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Octav Puiu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After having played for 59 minutes, Eric Cimpoieru managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Scorpions -MM-'s supporters crossed their fingers, but Eric Cimpoieru was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. A collision led to Phoenix Baia-Mare -MM- getting a freekick after 60 minutes play. Dacian Erbașu hit a great ball. After 61 played minutes Scorpions -MM- got a freekick which was hit by Marcel Corbu. After having played for 65 minutes, Octav Puiu managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Phoenix Baia-Mare -MM-'s supporters crossed their fingers, but Octav Puiu was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Cristinel Zdrobiş showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mădălin Nicodim, who was totally free with the ball in the 70th minute. In the 75th minute of the match Marcel Corbu sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Nae Costin skillfully saved the ball. Phoenix Baia-Mare -MM-'s Nicodim Voiculescu got his second yellow card of the match in the 75th minute. The referee ordered Nicodim Voiculescu off the ground. In the 76th minute, Nicodim Voiculescu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Augustin Vergulescu kicked well hit freekick during the 76th minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 79th minute, Augustin Vergulescu managed to get in a good position for a shot. Scorpions -MM-'s supporters rose to their feet, but Augustin Vergulescu was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Nae Costin breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. A collision led to Phoenix Baia-Mare -MM- getting a freekick after 81 minutes play. Mădălin Nicodim hit a great ball. Cristinel Zdrobiş showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Octav Puiu in the 92nd minute of the match. Octav Puiu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cristinel Zdrobiş having to interfere. The Phoenix Baia-Mare -MM- supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Scorpions -MM-'s performance. The match ended with a win for Scorpions -MM-.
