Gilbert Wieczorek was slow to take the kick. During this time A State Of Trance's players had a chance to rest. A State Of Trance's Gilbert Wieczorek was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Osvaldo Marques in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Damian Wallach took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jarbas Borges, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Celsinho da Silveira in the 38th minute of play forced A State Of Trance's goalkeeper Damian Wallach to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Yuri Alberto scored 0-2 in the 41st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Damian Wallach, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The supporters of MAZER SAF booed when A State Of Trance was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 84 match minutes in a wonderful position. The MAZER SAF players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
