The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Esmeralda AFC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 3rd minute, when Froilan Reyes scored to the left of an out of position Jorge Armani, making the score, 1-0. Eloy Calvino's late challenge caught a Parque Europa FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Eloy Calvino helped the player get up and apologised. In the 6th match minute, Esmeralda AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Eloy Calvino to maneuver through the defense. Lê Yang hit a great freekick 7 minutes into the match. A throw-in in the 14th minute of the game was made by Lê Yang with David Banegas as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. Luis Täger showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nicasio Fonda, who was totally free with the ball in the 15th minute. Froilan Reyes's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Jorge Armani read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 17th minute of play. In the 18th minute, Froilan Reyes reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Jorge Armani. The goal made the score 2-0. The audience thought a goal was coming when Froilan Reyes got free with Jorge Armani in the 22nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 24 minutes into the match, Parque Europa FC's goal looked a bit too open when Eloy Calvino came free, but Luis Täger reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 28th minute Froilan Reyes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jorge Armani saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 31 minutes Esmeralda AFC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Samuel Ryynänen who took care of the corner kick. Parque Europa FC's Samuel Ryynänen was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Jorge Armani in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Parque Europa FC's Luis Täger played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nicasio Fonda in the 34th minute of play. 35 minutes into the match, Parque Europa FC's goal looked a bit too open when Eloy Calvino came free, but Luis Täger reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 38 minutes into the game, Parque Europa FC's Froilan Reyes nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Jorge Armani made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-0. Parque Europa FC's Luis Täger played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Zülfü Sungur in the 41st minute of play. The supporters of Parque Europa FC booed when Esmeralda AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 44 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lê Yang didn't get a good kick on the ball. Jorge Armani made an important save on a dangerous shot by Froilan Reyes in the 44th minute. Niceto Matxin kicked well hit freekick during the 46th minute of the match. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Froilan Reyes to make the kick off. Jorge Armani showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Froilan Reyes in the 54th minute of the match. Parque Europa FC were awarded a corner in the 57th minute after Esmeralda AFC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Samuel Ryynänen took the corner. Parque Europa FC's Samuel Ryynänen was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Jorge Armani in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. 58 minutes into the match, Parque Europa FC's Froilan Reyes sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Jorge Armani narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Parque Europa FC were awarded a corner in the 60th minute after Esmeralda AFC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Samuel Ryynänen took the corner. Gumersindo Castaño was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. Parque Europa FC made a substitution. Miliano Babia replaced Froilan Reyes. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Miliano Babia in the 68th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jorge Armani saved Esmeralda AFC from getting behind. A collision led to Parque Europa FC getting a freekick after 74 minutes play. Emanuel Löfkvist hit a great ball. Luis Täger showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Zülfü Sungur in the 78th minute of the match. After some careless play in the Esmeralda AFC defense, Miliano Babia kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Jorge Armani. The Esmeralda AFC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jorge Armani should have stopped the shot. With a little luck, Parque Europa FC's Luis Täger got control of the ball when David Banegas tried to sneak it across the goal line. The audience was convinced that Coronel Castro's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Jorge Armani was relentless in the 91st minute of the game. Jorge Armani made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Miliano Babia in the 92nd minute of play. After 93 played minutes Esmeralda AFC got a freekick which was hit by Eloy Calvino. Jorge Armani came out of the goal in the 93rd minute to try and stop a shot by Parque Europa FC's Miliano Babia. But to his dismay, Miliano Babia quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 5-0. Esmeralda AFC's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
