Luiz Gustavo do Valle took the ball and in the 9 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Valentin Ospetsu. Valentin Ospetsu dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. In the 18th minute, Iván Luis Zamorano left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The ✪ ✪ Barrio Norte FC ✪ ✪ fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. Iván Luis Zamorano might have been able to make a better finish in the 29th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Hélder Travassos. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Iván Luis Zamorano ran back to his position shaking his head. Hélder Travassos took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Iván Luis Zamorano, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Hélder Travassos came out of the goal in the 37th minute to try and stop a shot by ✪ ✪ Barrio Norte FC ✪ ✪'s Iván Luis Zamorano. But to his dismay, Iván Luis Zamorano quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-2. If Albano Henric had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 48th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Iván Luis Zamorano stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Valentin Ospetsu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Federico Matxin, who was totally free with the ball in the 52nd minute. The throw-in from Guillaume Manaers in the 54th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by ✪ ✪ Barrio Norte FC ✪ ✪'s Juan Jose Peacock. A sloppy throw-in by Guillaume Manaers in the 59th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by ✪ ✪ Barrio Norte FC ✪ ✪'s Juan Jose Peacock. Luiz Gustavo do Valle blasted a shot towards the goal in the 64th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Valentin Ospetsu having to make a save. In the 64th minute Luiz Gustavo do Valle shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Valentin Ospetsu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. ✪ ✪ Barrio Norte FC ✪ ✪'s Bruno Marco was substituted for Cassiano Novais. ✪ ✪ Barrio Norte FC ✪ ✪'s Ofelio Galván was substituted for Iván Luis Zamorano. Elazar Talamilla kicked well hit freekick during the 68th minute of the match. 69 minutes into the game, Luiz Gustavo do Valle cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-3. An unexpectedly hard shot by Samuel Abel in the 86th minute of play forced Ubatuba's goalkeeper Hélder Travassos to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Hélder Travassos showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bruno Marco in the 88th minute of the match. The supporters of Ubatuba booed when ✪ ✪ Barrio Norte FC ✪ ✪ was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 90 match minutes in a wonderful position. Juan Jose Peacock didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ubatuba made a substitution. Emil Kostadinov replaced Júnior Zanette. In the 92nd match minute, ✪ ✪ Barrio Norte FC ✪ ✪ was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Juan Jose Peacock to maneuver through the defense. After some careless play in the ✪ ✪ Barrio Norte FC ✪ ✪ defense, Juvenal Paraibano kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Valentin Ospetsu. The ✪ ✪ Barrio Norte FC ✪ ✪ fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Valentin Ospetsu should have stopped the shot. The audience was convinced that Samuel Abel's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Hélder Travassos was relentless in the 96th minute of the game. When the match had gone on for 96 minutes, Samuel Abel put it in 3-4 from a short distance just to the right of Hélder Travassos. The Ubatuba supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Ubatuba would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
