Art Hauschildt showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Drew Keato in the 21st minute of the match. Jacobs Soekirno's late challenge caught a Cosmic Pigeons's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Jacobs Soekirno helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Cosmic Pigeons booed when Titipounamu was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 23 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jacobs Soekirno didn't get a good kick on the ball. 25 minutes into the match, Cosmic Pigeons's goal looked a bit too open when Maximilian Larsson came free, but Carlisle Schultz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Carlisle Schultz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Maximilian Larsson in the 27th minute of play. After some careless play in the Titipounamu defense, Cesare Antonacci kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Art Hauschildt. The Titipounamu fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Art Hauschildt should have stopped the shot. In the 33rdth minute of the game Maximilian Larsson who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Cosmic Pigeons's Carlisle Schultz was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Nando Pereira in the 35th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Carlisle Schultz prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 37 minutes into the match, Titipounamu's goal looked a bit too open when Drew Keato came free, but Art Hauschildt reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Maximilian Larsson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 42nd minute. Carlisle Schultz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Cesare Antonacci to strike the kick off in the second half. The audience thought a goal was coming when Hazar Hür got free with Carlisle Schultz in the 51st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Titipounamu's Bona Corona managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Cole Bundy in the 58 minute of the game. After having played for 59 minutes, Nando Pereira managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Titipounamu's supporters crossed their fingers, but Nando Pereira was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Carlisle Schultz made an important save on a dangerous shot by Nando Pereira in the 63rd minute. Maximilian Larsson's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Carlisle Schultz read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 65th minute of play. Carlisle Schultz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nando Pereira in the 68th minute of play. Titipounamu made a substitution. Maximilian Larsson did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 1-1 to the left of a surprised Carlisle Schultz 71 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nando Pereira in the 76th minute of play forced Cosmic Pigeons's goalkeeper Carlisle Schultz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 81 minutes into the match, Cosmic Pigeons's goalkeeper Carlisle Schultz had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Maximilian Larsson. In the 85th minute Nando Pereira shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Carlisle Schultz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Cosmic Pigeons's zone, Maximilian Larsson stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Carlisle Schultz came out of the goal and Maximilian Larsson tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Titipounamu's Remington Dobson was substituted for Maximilian Larsson. 93 minutes into the game, Olly Johnson cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-1. Art Hauschildt was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Cosmic Pigeons were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Titipounamu for a fine match.
