In the 34th minute of the match Manly FC got a corner. 0Fubar You's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Neville Byrnes ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner led Manly FC's Neville Byrnes to fire away a dangerous shot which Logan Carr despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. With a little luck, Manly FC's Ray Clemence got control of the ball when Christof Cartus tried to sneak it across the goal line. Mo Salah might have been able to make a better finish in the 84th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Logan Carr. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out.
