Asiz Rajah's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Albert Seng read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 4th minute of play. 9 minutes into the game, Oakham's Wong Butcher nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Albert Seng made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Albert Seng took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Asiz Rajah, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 21 minutes into the match, SKARF's goal looked a bit too open when Mark Koh came free, but Albert Seng reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 22ndth minute of the game Asiz Rajah who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but SKARF's Albert Seng was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Wong Butcher in the 24th minute of play forced SKARF's goalkeeper Albert Seng to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Mark Koh might have been able to make a better finish in the 28th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Albert Seng. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Mark Koh ran back to his position shaking his head. Albert Seng showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Asiz Rajah, who was totally free with the ball in the 34th minute. After a rather tough play, SKARF's Serkan Onatsu got a free kick in the 35th minute. 36 minutes into the match, SKARF's goal looked a bit too open when Asiz Rajah came free, but Albert Seng reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Mark Koh might have been able to make a better finish in the 38th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Albert Seng. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Mark Koh ran back to his position shaking his head. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Serkan Onatsu was the one to do the kick off. After taking down the ball on Oakham's corner Khai Amin fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Albert Seng quite easily take care of the ball. Bryan Hui took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Shafiq Yip, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. SKARF made a substitution. Dale Pillai replaced Wong Soon. Oakham's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Asiz Rajah in the 67th minute. 73 minutes into the match, SKARF's goal looked a bit too open when Asiz Rajah came free, but Albert Seng reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a little luck, SKARF's Albert Seng got control of the ball when Asiz Rajah tried to sneak it across the goal line. After 81 played minutes SKARF got a freekick which was hit by John Hui. The SKARF supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Oakham's performance. The match ended with a win for Oakham.
