An unexpectedly hard shot by Timur Chichko in the 2nd minute of play forced Курск ФК's goalkeeper Frutos Mallo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Kirill Latyaev made in the 5th minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Aleksey Braga however managed to control. Frutos Mallo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Igor Dubinskiy, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 12 minutes into the game, Andrey Denisov recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Göktürk Semin. Andrey Denisov showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. Göktürk Semin made an important save on a dangerous shot by Andrey Denisov in the 18th minute. In the 19th minute, Andrey Denisov left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Курск ФК fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-0. Andrey Denisov kicked well hit freekick during the 28th minute of the match. In the 31st minute of the match, Vasiliy Kulakov got a very nice opportunity to score, but Göktürk Semin was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. After 41 minutes Феникс Санкт-Петербург's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Leonid Bubnov who took care of the corner kick. A nice corner shot did that Leonid Bubnov got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Göktürk Semin quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-0 at half-time.

In the 60thth minute of the game Andrey Denisov who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Феникс Санкт-Петербург's Göktürk Semin was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Göktürk Semin didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Andrey Denisov went, in the 64th minute, to the upper right corner, 4-1 was the resulting score. Andrey Denisov scored 5-1 in the 70th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Göktürk Semin, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Göktürk Semin showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Andrey Denisov, who was totally free with the ball in the 80th minute. In the 85th minute Alexandr Lunin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Frutos Mallo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Курск ФК's Vasiliy Kulakov managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Aleksey Braga in the 88 minute of the game. Göktürk Semin showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Boris Basalaev in the 88th minute of the match. After 90 minutes of play, Курск ФК's Boris Basalaev made it 6-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Göktürk Semin was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 93rd match minute, Курск ФК was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Taras Baranov to maneuver through the defense. After 94 played minutes Курск ФК got a freekick which was hit by German Kovtun. Gerasim Popkov, 94 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Gerasim Popkov hit a great freekick 96 minutes into the match. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Курск ФК fans cheered their team off the field, for while Феникс Санкт-Петербург had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
