The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. But to his dismay, Dmitriy Bogaenko quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. In the 15th minute of the match, Pavel Dubinin tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Vladislav Maksimychev saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. In the 16th match minute, Igni et ferro was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mikhail Horoshevskiy to maneuver through the defense. Conor Barrett showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gaspar Calisto, who was totally free with the ball in the 17th minute. When the match clock showed 19 minutes, the score became 0-2 when Gaspar Calisto sped through Igni et ferro's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Conor Barrett. Conor Barrett stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Gaspar Calisto's shot from short distance in the 24th minute. In the 24th minute, Mikhail Horoshevskiy hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 26th minute Dmitriy Bogaenko shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Conor Barrett saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Conor Barrett showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dmitriy Bogaenko in the 32nd minute of the match. Cengiz Ulutaş hit a great freekick 34 minutes into the match. Ralf Rapp sent away a hard shot on goal in the 37th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ippolit Markov hit a great freekick 40 minutes into the match. In the 41st minute Erwan Carnot shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Conor Barrett saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Uwe Askri sent away a hard shot on goal in the 43rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Conor Barrett made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gaspar Calisto in the 47th minute of play. After the first half Днепр ФК were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Igni et ferro's Gabriel Martini was substituted for Mikhail Horoshevskiy. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Gaspar Calisto was the one to do the kick off. In the 53rd minute Uwe Askri shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Conor Barrett saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Igni et ferro's Conor Barrett played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gaspar Calisto in the 54th minute of play. Conor Barrett made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ralf Rapp in the 68th minute. After 69 played minutes Днепр ФК got a freekick which was hit by Max Lunin. In the 69th minute Alex Guevara shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vladislav Maksimychev saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With his leg Conor Barrett managed to avoid a goal in the 72ndth minute, when Днепр ФК's Ralf Rapp fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Gaspar Calisto made a well adjusted shot against goal in the 79thth minute coming free in front of the goal, but Conor Barrett would not let the ball come through at any expense and made a nice save by the left post. When the match was over Днепр ФК could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Igni et ferro throughout the match.
