The audience thought a goal was coming when Sofoklis Atsidakos got free with Elvis Ducke in the 24th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 26th minute Octavian Popescu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Iosif Moisakos saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Iosif Moisakos stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Mateusz Filipowski's shot from short distance in the 27th minute. The FC NATIONAL fans' excitement grew in the 27th match minute when FC NATIONAL's Mateusz Filipowski looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-3 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Elvis Ducke didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Sofoklis Atsidakos went, in the 31st minute, to the upper right corner, 2-3 was the resulting score. Elvis Ducke made an important save on a dangerous shot by Sofoklis Atsidakos in the 37th minute. 43 minutes into the match, ΑΠΕΠ ΠΙΤΣΙΛΙΑΣ's goal looked a bit too open when Octavian Popescu came free, but Iosif Moisakos reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Mateusz Filipowski fell near the penalty area in the 47th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored FC NATIONAL's protests and gave Mateusz Filipowski a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of ΑΠΕΠ ΠΙΤΣΙΛΙΑΣ booed when FC NATIONAL was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 47 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mateusz Filipowski didn't get a good kick on the ball. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 2-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Sofoklis Atsidakos to make the kick off. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Sofoklis Atsidakos in the 52nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Elvis Ducke saved FC NATIONAL from getting behind. After 54 minutes FC NATIONAL's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Teukros Nikolakakos who took care of the corner kick. It was a well-played corner which Federico Avila managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. Elvis Ducke showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sofoklis Atsidakos, who was totally free with the ball in the 56th minute. 61 minutes into the match, ΑΠΕΠ ΠΙΤΣΙΛΙΑΣ's goalkeeper Iosif Moisakos had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Radomil Kapera. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sofoklis Atsidakos in the 65th minute of play forced FC NATIONAL's goalkeeper Elvis Ducke to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 66th minute Sofoklis Atsidakos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Elvis Ducke saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a little luck, ΑΠΕΠ ΠΙΤΣΙΛΙΑΣ's Iosif Moisakos got control of the ball when Radomil Kapera tried to sneak it across the goal line. Radomil Kapera in the 88thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Iosif Moisakos, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Lakis Kolovos received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 90th minute. Iosif Moisakos tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Mateusz Filipowski sent away a hard shot on goal in the 92nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched FC NATIONAL eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
