With an all-out effort, OMONOIA's Sakis Kaladosis threw himself towards the right post 38 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Honorio Vergas, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. With a little luck, OMONOIA's Koios Panayiotopoulos got control of the ball when Epeios Solomos tried to sneak it across the goal line. OMONOIA's Koios Panayiotopoulos played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Remi Van Linthoud in the 57th minute of play. The Aek athens fans' excitement grew in the 96th match minute when Aek athens's Remi Van Linthoud looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 3-3 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. The Aek athens players were the happier at the end of the match as they had prevented OMONOIA from taking control. The game ends in a draw.
