Thanks to some nice moves Michel Santos could shoot a difficult shot in the 26th minute, which Sakis Kaladosis however easily saved by the left post. APOELHELLAS's Tobias Øverland played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Reynardo Lloredo in the 30th minute of play. Thanks to some nice moves Michel Santos could shoot a difficult shot in the 32nd minute, which Sakis Kaladosis however easily saved by the left post. An unexpectedly hard shot by Iphiklos Bentihavas in the 34th minute of play forced APOELHELLAS's goalkeeper Tobias Øverland to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Sakis Kaladosis didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Lykaon Belesis went, in the 35th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. In the 39th minute, Michel Santos got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Tobias Øverland made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from 于永风 in the 44th minute of play. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

If Michel Santos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. APOELHELLAS's supporters crossed their fingers, but Michel Santos was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 66th minute Michel Santos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sakis Kaladosis saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
