The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 29 minutes into the match, Kuressaare Korsaarid's goal looked a bit too open when Kaur Vaasna came free, but Ermanno Fantasia reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Kuressaare Korsaarid's Ermanno Fantasia played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kaur Vaasna in the 33rd minute of play. JK Koljala's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Edvard Kupits in the 34th minute. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

JK Koljala's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Kuressaare Korsaarid the free kick. Charlie Browald made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rainer Klaar in the 63rd minute of play. JK Koljala's Edvard Kupits managed to work through Kuressaare Korsaarid's defense and was going for an easy goal, but he hit the shot with his toe and the ball flew outside the goal. Edvard Kupits dejectedly held out his arms as if to ask why the ball hadn't gone in. The audience thought a goal was coming when Edvard Kupits got free with Ermanno Fantasia in the 70th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Ermanno Fantasia made a fantastic save in the 72nd minute, when Edvard Kupits sent off a good shot on target. 74 minutes into the match, JK Koljala's goal looked a bit too open when Rainer Klaar came free, but Charlie Browald reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 74th minute, Rainer Klaar left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. For all the effort they put into the match, the JK Koljala players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense.
