Ünal Başar showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Markos Seremetidis in the 13th minute of the match. In the 14thth minute of the game Emil Bank who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but AFC Ajax's Saruhan Vuralhan was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. A.E.T. were awarded a corner in the 16th minute after AFC Ajax's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Stamatis Kolitsidakis took the corner. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Markos Seremetidis in the 23rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ünal Başar prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After 24 minutes A.E.T.'s defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Veniamin Kountouratzis who took care of the corner kick. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-3 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. A.E.T.'s Ünal Başar played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Markos Seremetidis in the 57th minute of play. AFC Ajax made a substitution. After taking down the ball on AFC Ajax's corner Veniamin Kountouratzis fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Ünal Başar quite easily take care of the ball. Alexandros Sardanis scored 2-4 in the 93rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Ünal Başar, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 96th minute, Stavros Tsebelis hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A.E.T.'s fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
