Ninjas in Pyjamas's Cai Yue Guang played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cristinel Gheară in the 26th minute of play. When the match had gone on for 27 minutes, Cristiano Hagi took a quick shot and it went in 2-0 without a chance for Roch Grondzki to make any attempt to save it. A sloppy throw-in by Armağan Yörük in the 30th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by FC Buciumii's Olavi Vilo. 32 minutes into the game, Cristinel Gheară cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-1. Cai Yue Guang was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Roch Grondzki took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Pastor Ellow, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The audience thought a goal was coming when Manuel Isăilă got free with Roch Grondzki in the 40th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. FC Buciumii's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Mugur Nițisor in the 49th minute. The corner ended in Mugur Nițisor almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Ninjas in Pyjamas's Cai Yue Guang did a great save.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Manuel Isăilă was the one to do the kick off. After 53 minutes of play, FC Buciumii's Cristinel Gheară made it 2-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Cai Yue Guang was left in no man's land by his defense there! Ninjas in Pyjamas's Emanuele Clementi was substituted for Pastor Ellow. 58 minutes into the game, Armağan Yörük threw the ball into play from the sideline. FC Buciumii's Gabriel Căplescu quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. FC Buciumii were awarded a corner in the 60th minute after Ninjas in Pyjamas's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Mugur Nițisor took the corner. Mugur Nițisor made a great header on FC Buciumii's corner, it was just that Ninjas in Pyjamas's Cai Yue Guang managed to reach the ball for a save. Cai Yue Guang was completely defenseless when Dumitru Ghițulescu shot a long shot which deflected off the right pole and into the goal in the game's 97th minute, 2-3. The Ninjas in Pyjamas supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching FC Buciumii's performance. The match ended with a win for FC Buciumii.
