Club Atlétic Incles's supporters crossed their fingers, but Dinu Pelin was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Brian Beadle hit a great freekick 14 minutes into the match. Frederico Hendrickx might have been able to make a better finish in the 16th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Angelino Abancens. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Frederico Hendrickx ran back to his position shaking his head. 16 minutes into the match, Club Atlétic Incles's goalkeeper Angelino Abancens had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Frederico Hendrickx. Angelino Abancens made an important save on a dangerous shot by Frederico Hendrickx in the 21st minute. Zhang Hong Xun showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dinu Pelin in the 25th minute of the match. Angelino Abancens showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Frederico Hendrickx, who was totally free with the ball in the 26th minute. Frederico Hendrickx succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 1-0 in the 26th playminute. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Frederico Hendrickx to make the kick off. A collision led to Club Atlétic Incles getting a freekick after 50 minutes play. Calvin Hollingsworth hit a great ball. In the 54th minute Gustaaf Van Damme shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Zhang Hong Xun saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Calvin Hollingsworth could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 61st minute of the match, but Zhang Hong Xun made a huge save. The audience thought a goal was coming when Dinu Pelin got free with Zhang Hong Xun in the 68th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Dinu Pelin in the 68th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Zhang Hong Xun saved FC Shakhtar Donetsk from getting behind. It was a well-played corner which Brian Beadle managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. Zhang Hong Xun made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Calvin Hollingsworth in the 71st minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dinu Pelin in the 72nd minute of play forced FC Shakhtar Donetsk's goalkeeper Zhang Hong Xun to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 79th minute, Gustaaf Van Damme managed to get in a good position for a shot. Club Atlétic Incles's supporters rose to their feet, but Gustaaf Van Damme was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Zhang Hong Xun breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick.
