A collision led to UE Sant Julià getting a freekick after 52 minutes play. Ke Rong Zhen hit a great ball. In the 53rd minute of the match Ivor Whitehead sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Johnnie Dobson skillfully saved the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Bryan Hornsby got free with Dennis Baldwin in the 58th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. With a little luck, El Expreso's Dennis Baldwin got control of the ball when Ke Rong Zhen tried to sneak it across the goal line.
