With a couple of smart ball manuevers Rekib Božić in the 3rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Dida Pontes saved NK RIJEKA 1983 from getting behind. The supporters of NK RIJEKA 1983 booed when FISHBONE 06 was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 5 match minutes in a wonderful position. Elvir Bešimović didn't get a good kick on the ball. Gavino Ubarna made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Delmiro Menendo in the 6th minute of play. 11 minutes into the game, Branislav Cokić cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Dida Pontes was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. FISHBONE 06's Don John got a good chance for a goal in the 17th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 18th match minute, NK RIJEKA 1983 was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Stórólfur Xenopanagos to maneuver through the defense. Dida Pontes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Elvir Bešimović in the 24th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Elvir Bešimović in the 25th minute of play forced NK RIJEKA 1983's goalkeeper Dida Pontes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Delmiro Menendo in the 27th minute of play forced FISHBONE 06's goalkeeper Gavino Ubarna to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. NK RIJEKA 1983's Dida Pontes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rekib Božić in the 28th minute of play. Elvir Bešimović scored 0-2 in the 29th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Dida Pontes, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rekib Božić in the 33rd minute of play forced NK RIJEKA 1983's goalkeeper Dida Pontes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Dida Pontes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Don John in the 34th minute of the match. 35 minutes into the match, NK RIJEKA 1983's goal looked a bit too open when Branislav Cokić came free, but Dida Pontes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Dida Pontes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Don John, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Dida Pontes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Don John, who was totally free with the ball in the 37th minute. Elvir Bešimović recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 38th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After some careless play in the NK RIJEKA 1983 defense, Rekib Božić kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Dida Pontes. The NK RIJEKA 1983 fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Dida Pontes should have stopped the shot. In the 43rdth minute of the game Branislav Cokić who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but NK RIJEKA 1983's Dida Pontes was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Disappointed in the 0-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Rekib Božić stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. When FISHBONE 06's Rekib Božić in the 51st minute got a chance for a shot 51st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Don John could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 54th minute of the match, but Dida Pontes made a huge save. 55 minutes into the match, NK RIJEKA 1983's goalkeeper Dida Pontes had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Branislav Cokić. Gavino Ubarna made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Delmiro Menendo in the 57th minute of play. The corner led NK RIJEKA 1983's Haris Hivzić to fire away a dangerous shot which Gavino Ubarna despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. NK RIJEKA 1983's Dida Pontes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Elvir Bešimović in the 62nd minute of play. Dida Pontes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rekib Božić, who was totally free with the ball in the 65th minute. Branislav Cokić who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 65thth minute tested the skills of Dida Pontes when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Dida Pontes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jordan Karanović in the 73rd minute of the match. Branislav Cokić fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 74th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dida Pontes having to interfere. Don John recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 76th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Gavino Ubarna made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Delmiro Menendo in the 78th minute of play. Rekib Božić in the 81stth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Dida Pontes, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Dida Pontes made an important save on a dangerous shot by Don John in the 83rd minute. Dida Pontes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jordan Karanović, who was totally free with the ball in the 85th minute. In the 88th minute Rekib Božić shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dida Pontes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. FISHBONE 06 made a substitution. Muamer Hamdić replaced Branislav Cokić. NK RIJEKA 1983's Dida Pontes proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 95th minute of the match, managed to save NK RIJEKA 1983 from getting a goal against them. The NK RIJEKA 1983 fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. FISHBONE 06 were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
