Jonas Herz took the ball and in the 7 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised David Aberle. David Aberle dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. Gilles Clerc received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 18th minute. David Aberle tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 20 minutes, Martin Rutsch made it 1-2 with a short kick to the right side. Zelg FC's Sepp Mainville tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Sepp Mainville showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Zachary Pionek, who was totally free with the ball in the 24th minute. Jonas Herz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 26th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Martin Rutsch in the 31st minute of play forced Zelg FC's goalkeeper Sepp Mainville to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 33 minutes into the match, Uetendorf Wanderers's Martin Rutsch sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Sepp Mainville narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 42 minutes into the match, Zelg FC's goal looked a bit too open when Martin Rutsch came free, but Sepp Mainville reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Sepp Mainville came out of the goal in the 42nd minute to try and stop a shot by Uetendorf Wanderers's Martin Rutsch. But to his dismay, Martin Rutsch quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-3. Sepp Mainville took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Martin Rutsch, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.

In the 53rd minute, Uetendorf Wanderers's Juan Jesus seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Juan Jesus the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Uetendorf Wanderers protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Juan Jesus had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. The referee gave Zelg FC a penalty, 54 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Gilles Clerc, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Uetendorf Wanderers's David Aberle. 2-3. 60 minutes into the match, Zelg FC's goalkeeper Sepp Mainville had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Zachary Pionek. Zelg FC's Jonas Herz got a good chance for a goal in the 62nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Sepp Mainville made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Giorgos Papaiakovou in the 67th minute of play. Zachary Pionek received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 69th minute. Sepp Mainville tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. David Aberle made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jonas Herz in the 71st minute of play. 74 minutes into the match, Uetendorf Wanderers's Özcan Balcik sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Sepp Mainville narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 78th match minute, Uetendorf Wanderers was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Giorgos Papaiakovou to maneuver through the defense. Özcan Balcik sent away a hard shot on goal in the 81st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Giorgos Papaiakovou fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 83rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sepp Mainville having to interfere. Jonas Herz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 85th minute. David Aberle tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 90th minute, Özcan Balcik left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Uetendorf Wanderers fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-4. 94 minutes into the match, Jonas Herz had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of David Aberle. Uetendorf Wanderers's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Jonas Herz was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-4. The Uetendorf Wanderers supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Uetendorf Wanderers would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
