Glenn Huez fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 3rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Stig Verlengia having to interfere. In the 6th play minute Pat Eggers came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised David Aberle. 1-0. Glenn Huez sent away a hard shot on goal in the 11th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Özcan Balcik recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 17th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 20thth minute of the game Martin Rutsch who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Liver Bird's Stig Verlengia was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 22nd minute Martin Rutsch shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Stig Verlengia saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 25th minute, Özcan Balcik left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Uetendorf Wanderers fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. Pat Eggers could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 31st minute of the match, but David Aberle made a huge save. In the 33rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Uetendorf Wanderers's goalkeeper David Aberle, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. When Alon LeBatelier fell near the penalty area in the 36th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Uetendorf Wanderers's protests and gave Alon LeBatelier a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Uetendorf Wanderers getting a freekick after 37 minutes play. Alon LeBatelier hit a great ball. Liver Bird's Pat Eggers was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but David Aberle in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. David Aberle made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nathaniel Howald in the 40th minute of play. After 41 minutes of play, Uetendorf Wanderers's Özcan Balcik made it 1-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Stig Verlengia was left in no man's land by his defense there! Stig Verlengia showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Martin Rutsch in the 45th minute of the match. Disappointed in the 1-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Pat Eggers to make the kick off. Liver Bird's Stig Verlengia played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Martin Rutsch in the 56th minute of play. Stig Verlengia came out of the goal in the 56th minute to try and stop a shot by Uetendorf Wanderers's Martin Rutsch. But to his dismay, Martin Rutsch quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-3. In the 58thth minute of the game Nathaniel Howald who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Uetendorf Wanderers's David Aberle was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Özcan Balcik could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 61st minute of the match, but Stig Verlengia made a huge save. Alon LeBatelier kicked well hit freekick during the 63rd minute of the match. In the 64th minute Pat Eggers shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but David Aberle saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 69thth minute of the game Pat Eggers who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Uetendorf Wanderers's David Aberle was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nathaniel Howald in the 72nd minute of play forced Uetendorf Wanderers's goalkeeper David Aberle to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Özcan Balcik could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 75th minute of the match, but Stig Verlengia made a huge save. Martin Rutsch fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 77th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Stig Verlengia having to interfere. Glenn Huez struck a weak shot in the 80th minute. Stig Verlengia didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Uetendorf Wanderers. 84 minutes into the game, Zachary Pionek cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-4. Stig Verlengia was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After having played for 89 minutes, Martin Rutsch managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Uetendorf Wanderers's supporters crossed their fingers, but Martin Rutsch was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Liver Bird's Clinton Werfel managed to work through Uetendorf Wanderers's defense and was going for an easy goal, but he hit the shot with his toe and the ball flew outside the goal. Clinton Werfel dejectedly held out his arms as if to ask why the ball hadn't gone in. In the 93rd minute, Glenn Huez got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal.
