The corner led to VfL Bad Nenndorf's Themis Papadimoulis getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. After the first half VfL Bad Nenndorf were leading 0-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Christopher Reimann didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Brandon Rick went, in the 52nd minute, to the upper right corner, 1-3 was the resulting score. In the 54th match minute, VfL Bad Nenndorf was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Volker Koplin to maneuver through the defense. After some fancy dribbling in the 55th minute, Szilárd Újváry managed to get in a good position for a shot. Hamburg Fighters's supporters rose to their feet, but Szilárd Újváry was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Themis Papadimoulis showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-4. In the 84th minute, Róbert Štriker ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Pavlos Konstantakakis was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-5. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gianluca Balla in the 87th minute of play forced VfL Bad Nenndorf's goalkeeper Christopher Reimann to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Pavlos Konstantakakis made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Róbert Štriker in the 89th minute of play. Volker Koplin hit a great freekick 95 minutes into the match. The VfL Bad Nenndorf players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
