Seating: 2496, VIP seats: 216) 4 minutes into the match, Hertha 1969's goal looked a bit too open when Alfred Marke came free, but Rune Jarstein reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Hertha 1969's Rune Jarstein played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Emanuel Ogășanu in the 6th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Önder Cebi in the 7th minute of play forced Hertha 1969's goalkeeper Rune Jarstein to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Rune Jarstein showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Önder Cebi, who was totally free with the ball in the 9th minute. In the 10th minute Allan Björk shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rune Jarstein saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Gunter Waller's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 15thth minute, Sebastian Titz skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Önder Cebi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 16th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rune Jarstein having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Wilhelm Nienhaus in the 17th minute of play forced Sydney FC's goalkeeper Sebastian Titz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Hertha 1969's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Zé Paulo da Silva in the 20th minute. Sebastian Titz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Wilhelm Nienhaus, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Rune Jarstein showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Emanuel Ogășanu, who was totally free with the ball in the 25th minute. In the 28th minute Önder Cebi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rune Jarstein saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Sebastian Titz stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Wilhelm Nienhaus's shot from short distance in the 30th minute. Hertha 1969's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Zé Paulo da Silva in the 31st minute. After taking down the ball on Hertha 1969's corner Zé Paulo da Silva fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Sebastian Titz quite easily take care of the ball. After 33 minutes of play, Sydney FC's Allan Björk made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Rune Jarstein was left in no man's land by his defense there! After 37 minutes, Emanuel Ogășanu made it 0-2 with a short kick to the right side. Hertha 1969's Rune Jarstein tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Sydney FC's Sebastian Titz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Wilhelm Nienhaus in the 42nd minute of play. When the match had gone on for 45 minutes, Wilhelm Nienhaus took a quick shot and it went in 1-2 without a chance for Sebastian Titz to make any attempt to save it. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.
The wind increased when Wilhelm Nienhaus made the kick off in the second half. Ludwig Hanstein sent away a hard shot on goal in the 53rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Sydney FC's Sebastian Titz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Wilhelm Nienhaus in the 55th minute of play. Sebastian Titz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Wilhelm Nienhaus in the 57th minute of the match. Wilhelm Nienhaus kicked well hit freekick during the 58th minute of the match. In the 63rd minute Allan Björk shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rune Jarstein saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ludwig Hanstein fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 67th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rune Jarstein having to interfere. Hertha 1969 made a substitution. Benedikt Bensch replaced Emilio Melzer. Rune Jarstein was a little too slow when Emanuel Ogășanu got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 70th minute. The score was now 1-3. Sebastian Titz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nertil Maldini in the 79th minute of the match. With a little luck, Hertha 1969's Rune Jarstein got control of the ball when Ludwig Hanstein tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 83rd minute Hertha 1969 were awarded a corner. Zé Paulo da Silva went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner ended in Zé Paulo da Silva almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Sydney FC's Sebastian Titz did a great save. Hertha 1969's Rune Jarstein played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Önder Cebi in the 87th minute of play. Sydney FC were awarded a corner in the 91th minute after Hertha 1969's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Ferdinand Mendy took the corner. In the 92nd minute Kristian Oswald shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sebastian Titz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The Hertha 1969 supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Sydney FC's performance. The match ended with a win for Sydney FC.
