A wasted opportunity for Strib Galacticos IF. 18 minutes into the match, Strib Galacticos IF's goalkeeper Janich Sodborg had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Nik Glyrskov. Nik Glyrskov in the 19thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Janich Sodborg, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. If Felix Fanøe had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 28th match minute, Strib Galacticos IF was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Carlos Berbiz to maneuver through the defense. René Gramgaard fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 34th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Janich Sodborg having to interfere. 37 minutes into the match, Strib Galacticos IF's Felix Fanøe sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Wictor Mejling narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 39 minutes into the match, lyptus's goal looked a bit too open when Felix Fanøe came free, but Wictor Mejling reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Wictor Mejling showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Felix Fanøe, who was totally free with the ball in the 39th minute. Thorkild Falshøj came free with the goalkeeper in the 41st minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Janich Sodborg could save by the left post. In the 47th minute the ball was on its way in behind Strib Galacticos IF's goalkeeper Janich Sodborg, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Felix Fanøe to strike the kick off in the second half. Thorkild Falshøj's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Janich Sodborg read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 55th minute of play. In the 58th minute, Felix Fanøe got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Thorkild Falshøj sent away a hard shot on goal in the 60th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Janich Sodborg stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Nik Glyrskov's shot from short distance in the 65th minute. After having played for 76 minutes, Felix Fanøe managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Strib Galacticos IF's supporters crossed their fingers, but Felix Fanøe was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Strib Galacticos IF's Nicolai Allermand was substituted for Pedro Nyaa. The crowd rose to their feet as Felix Fanøe kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Wictor Mejling. That made the score 1-2 in the 79 minute of play. After a rather tough play, Strib Galacticos IF's Qu Fan Yang got a free kick in the 84th minute. lyptus's Wictor Mejling played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Felix Fanøe in the 86th minute of play. The supporters of lyptus booed when Strib Galacticos IF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 93 match minutes in a wonderful position. Carlos Berbiz didn't get a good kick on the ball. The Strib Galacticos IF supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Strib Galacticos IF would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
