Jurand Sienkowski might have been able to make a better finish in the 6th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Shi Yun Chen. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Jurand Sienkowski ran back to his position shaking his head. Shi Yun Chen showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jurand Sienkowski in the 6th minute of the match. In the 9th minute Christer Collin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Shi Yun Chen saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Jurand Sienkowski had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Gaizkine Nobo made a fantastic save in the 25th minute, when Lico Tarin sent off a good shot on target. Christer Collin struck a weak shot in the 27th minute. Shi Yun Chen didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for ReyPoxo. In the 29th minute, Jurand Sienkowski ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Shi Yun Chen was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. ReyPoxo's Edgar Wijngaart quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Jairo Calheiros, made in the 32nd minute of the game. 38 minutes into the match, ReyPoxo's goalkeeper Gaizkine Nobo had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Lico Tarin. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jurand Sienkowski in the 46th minute of play forced ATLETAS FC's goalkeeper Shi Yun Chen to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After the first half ReyPoxo were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

ReyPoxo made a substitution. Samuel Etoo replaced Jurand Sienkowski. ReyPoxo made a substitution. Anatolio Gasso replaced Juan Pablo Yanovitskiy. ATLETAS FC's Cordareo Macías was substituted for Justo Valdivia. 74 minutes into the match, Samuel Etoo notched a goal, 0-3, to the right of ATLETAS FC's Shi Yun Chen. Shi Yun Chen was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Samuel Etoo blasted a shot towards the goal in the 77th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Shi Yun Chen having to make a save. Albano Hegoi recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 83rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Shi Yun Chen took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Samuel Etoo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.
