Per-Oskar Svensson made an important save on a dangerous shot by Filip Kubala in the 20th minute. After 20th play minutes Osman Čiček shot 2-0, a short shot which went by Per-Oskar Svensson and just under the crossbar into goal. Gaizka Mendieta was slow to take the kick. During this time Tirant lo Blanch's players had a chance to rest. Tirant lo Blanch's Gaizka Mendieta was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Arif Memduh Akova in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. After taking down the ball on Tirant lo Blanch's corner Gaizka Mendieta fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Arif Memduh Akova quite easily take care of the ball. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-0 at half-time.
