Spectators: 7259 (Terracing: 5995, Seating: 1250, VIP seats: 14) UD Gaditana's Nabucodonosor Ferrer started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Nando Quintero took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Vintilă Ghițulescu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gualter Moura in the 4th minute of play forced UD Gaditana's goalkeeper Nando Quintero to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 8 minutes into the game, Eleuterio Abril was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. UD Gaditana's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Sporting Burgas the free kick. In the 8th minute, Eleuterio Abril hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 15 minutes into the match, UD Gaditana's goal looked a bit too open when Davor Šuker came free, but Nando Quintero reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 16th minute, Vintilă Ghițulescu made a precise shot to the right of Nando Quintero. UD Gaditana's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. After 20 played minutes UD Gaditana got a freekick which was hit by Eleuterio Abril. Nando Quintero made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gualter Moura in the 22nd minute of play. The supporters of Sporting Burgas booed when UD Gaditana was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 23 match minutes in a wonderful position. Salbatore Acosta didn't get a good kick on the ball. Gualter Moura took the ball and in the 24 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Nando Quintero. Nando Quintero dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-3. Nando Quintero showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Davor Šuker, who was totally free with the ball in the 27th minute. 28 minutes into the game, Cedro Pantoja cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-4. Nando Quintero was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 33 minutes into the game, Sporting Burgas's Davor Šuker nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Nando Quintero made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-5. After 36 minutes of play, Sporting Burgas's Davor Šuker made it 0-6 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Nando Quintero was left in no man's land by his defense there! When Mac Aron came up free with the goalie in the 39th minute, the Sporting Burgas fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Mac Aron couldn't finish the play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Vintilă Ghițulescu in the 41st minute of play forced UD Gaditana's goalkeeper Nando Quintero to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 43rd minute Davor Šuker shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nando Quintero saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Nando Quintero showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gualter Moura in the 44th minute of the match. UD Gaditana's Nando Quintero played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Davor Šuker in the 46th minute of play.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Davor Šuker stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 51st minute, Davor Šuker reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Nando Quintero. The goal made the score 0-7. In the 55th minute, Vintilă Ghițulescu left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Sporting Burgas fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-8. Davor Šukers short, quick shot in the 61stth minute got Nando Quintero to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. A collision led to UD Gaditana getting a freekick after 63 minutes play. Salbatore Acosta hit a great ball. Vintilă Ghițulescu took the ball and in the 64 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Nando Quintero. Nando Quintero dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-10. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Nabucodonosor Ferrer in the 68th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Álvaro Perpiñán saved Sporting Burgas from getting behind. With 70 minutes on the clock, Hilario Canyelles commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. In the 71st minute, Hilario Canyelles hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Davor Šuker took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 71st minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Nando Quintero. UD Gaditana's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. With an all-out effort, Sporting Burgas's Nando Quintero threw himself towards the right post 73 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Vintilă Ghițulescu, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Davor Šuker in the 74thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Nando Quintero, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. When the match had gone on for 74 minutes, Davor Šuker put it in 0-11 from a short distance just to the right of Nando Quintero. 0-12 became the score in the 77th minute when Vintilă Ghițulescu elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Nando Quintero made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Davor Šuker in the 81st minute of play. The crowd rose to their feet as Davor Šuker kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Nando Quintero. That made the score 0-13 in the 84 minute of play. Cedro Pantoja fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nando Quintero having to interfere. Davor Šuker had several of the UD Gaditana's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 89 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 0-14 score and a disappointed Nando Quintero as he didn't even see the shot coming. UD Gaditana's Nando Quintero proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 92nd minute of the match, managed to save UD Gaditana from getting a goal against them. 94 minutes into the match, Mac Aron dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Nando Quintero, 0-15. The UD Gaditana fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Sporting Burgas were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
