Antonio Fioriti might have been able to make a better finish in the 7th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Herberto Riba. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Antonio Fioriti ran back to his position shaking his head. The supporters of Sporting Burgas booed when Cosuenda was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 8 match minutes in a wonderful position. Geronimo Garay didn't get a good kick on the ball. After having played for 9 minutes, Antonio Fioriti managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Sporting Burgas's supporters crossed their fingers, but Antonio Fioriti was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Mac Aron sent away a hard shot on goal in the 13th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With a little luck, Cosuenda's Herberto Riba got control of the ball when Mac Aron tried to sneak it across the goal line. Rolando Alonso hit a great freekick 21 minutes into the match. Sporting Burgas's Antonio Fioriti got a good chance for a goal in the 22nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 24th minute, Sporting Burgas's Antonio Fioriti ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Herberto Riba. Herberto Riba yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-0. In the 27th match minute, Sporting Burgas was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mac Aron to maneuver through the defense. 30 minutes into the match, Antonio Fioriti dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Herberto Riba, 3-0. In the 35th minute, Antonio Fioriti ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Herberto Riba was frozen by the shot and now it was 4-0. When the match had gone on for 39 minutes, Antonio Fioriti took a quick shot and it went in 5-0 without a chance for Herberto Riba to make any attempt to save it. After some careless play in the Cosuenda defense, Ke Xiong Chen kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Herberto Riba. The Cosuenda fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Herberto Riba should have stopped the shot. Emilio Campoamor charged in rather forcefully in the 47th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Emilio Campoamor the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Emilio Campoamor hit a great freekick 47 minutes into the match.

The wind increased when Jose-Enrique Reina made the kick off in the second half. A collision led to Sporting Burgas getting a freekick after 52 minutes play. Mac Aron hit a great ball. Antonio Fioriti took the ball and in the 54 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Herberto Riba. Herberto Riba dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 7-0. Antonio Fioriti blasted a shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Herberto Riba having to make a save. Herberto Riba made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Antonio Fioriti in the 58th minute of play. Herberto Riba showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Antonio Fioriti in the 61st minute of the match. Herberto Riba showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ke Xiong Chen, who was totally free with the ball in the 62nd minute. Antonio Fioriti took the ball and in the 64 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Herberto Riba. Herberto Riba dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 8-0. Herberto Riba showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ke Xiong Chen, who was totally free with the ball in the 67th minute. Mac Aron struck a weak shot in the 71st minute. Herberto Riba didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Sporting Burgas. Herberto Riba came out of the goal in the 72nd minute to try and stop a shot by Sporting Burgas's Antonio Fioriti. But to his dismay, Antonio Fioriti quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 9-0. In the 75th minute, Ke Xiong Chen hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 80th minute Antonio Fioriti shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Herberto Riba saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Mac Aron scored 10-0 in the 81st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Herberto Riba, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 84 minutes into the match, Sporting Burgas's Javier Carmona sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Herberto Riba narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 85th minute, Antonio Fioriti ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Herberto Riba was frozen by the shot and now it was 11-0. In the 93rd minute, Jose-Enrique Reina hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Herberto Riba took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mac Aron, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Sporting Burgas's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
