Yves Leite scored 1-0 in the 14th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Kryspin Cupial, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 18 minutes into the game, Cosa nostra Lyon's Uwe Birmes nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Jolan Galindo made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. Joe Plantin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jolan Galindo having to interfere. Jolan Galindo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Uwe Birmes in the 23rd minute of the match. Jolan Galindo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Junior Quintana in the 24th minute of play. Josué Pagueguy's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Kryspin Cupial read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 28th minute of play. La Pointe Courte's Jolan Galindo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Junior Quintana in the 30th minute of play. Jolan Galindo came out of the goal in the 30th minute to try and stop a shot by Cosa nostra Lyon's Junior Quintana. But to his dismay, Junior Quintana quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. Kryspin Cupial took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Yves Leite, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 高川永 made in the 42nd minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by La Pointe Courte's Cidro Flores. Yves Leite could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 43rd minute of the match, but Kryspin Cupial made a huge save. After a rather tough play, La Pointe Courte's Columbo Duarte got a free kick in the 44th minute. After the first half Cosa nostra Lyon were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Uwe Birmes made a kick off. 52 minutes into the match, Cosa nostra Lyon's goal looked a bit too open when Yves Leite came free, but Kryspin Cupial reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Félicien Boidin recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 54th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. La Pointe Courte's Dan Black was substituted for Benny Impens. La Pointe Courte's Cidro Flores quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Mehmet Çağrı Hadi, made in the 65th minute of the game. La Pointe Courte's Jolan Galindo proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 70th minute of the match, managed to save La Pointe Courte from getting a goal against them. Jolan Galindo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Junior Quintana, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Félicien Boidin came free with the goalkeeper in the 73rd minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Jolan Galindo could save by the left post. Jolan Galindo yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-3. The La Pointe Courte fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Cosa nostra Lyon were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
