Haakon Taankvist hit a great freekick 6 minutes into the match. In the 7th minute Yves Leite shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Christophe Pourre saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The throw-in from Columbo Duarte in the 12th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by LA RABIA DEL PUEBLO's Marcel Méjean. Yves Leite might have been able to make a better finish in the 14th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Christophe Pourre. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Yves Leite ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 14th minute Yves Leite shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Christophe Pourre saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Haakon Taankvist kicked well hit freekick during the 15th minute of the match. The La Pointe Courte fans' excitement grew in the 19th match minute when La Pointe Courte's Yves Leite looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Jolan Galindo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ramon Richie in the 25th minute of the match. LA RABIA DEL PUEBLO were awarded a corner in the 30th minute after La Pointe Courte's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Marcel Méjean took the corner. In the 33rd minute, Ramon Richie ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Jolan Galindo was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. Josué Pagueguy's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Christophe Pourre read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 36th minute of play. Josué Pagueguy sent away a hard shot on goal in the 40th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 44 minutes had been played when some careless play by LA RABIA DEL PUEBLO's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Josué Pagueguy was slow to take the kick. During this time La Pointe Courte's players had a chance to rest. Josué Pagueguy made a great header on La Pointe Courte's corner, it was just that LA RABIA DEL PUEBLO's Christophe Pourre managed to reach the ball for a save. If Ramon Richie had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Diogo Queirós charged in rather forcefully in the 46th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Diogo Queirós the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of LA RABIA DEL PUEBLO booed when La Pointe Courte was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 47 match minutes in a wonderful position. Diogo Queirós didn't get a good kick on the ball.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Yves Leite to strike the kick off in the second half. Ramon Richie came free with the goalkeeper in the 53rd minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Jolan Galindo could save by the left post. After taking down the ball on LA RABIA DEL PUEBLO's corner Marcel Méjean fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Jolan Galindo quite easily take care of the ball. Ramon Richie received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Jolan Galindo came out and tried to block the shot, but Ramon Richie slotted it home off the left post making it 1-2 in the 58th minute. In the 61st minute, Ramon Richie made a precise shot to the right of Jolan Galindo. La Pointe Courte's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-3. In the 65th minute, Hüseyin Eroğlu got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. La Pointe Courte's Pawel Harendarski was substituted for Columbo Duarte. In the 67th minute Ramon Richie shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jolan Galindo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ramon Richie took the ball and in the 67 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Jolan Galindo. Jolan Galindo dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-4. La Pointe Courte's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Ramon Richie 75 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 1-5. 81 minutes into the match, La Pointe Courte's goalkeeper Jolan Galindo had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Noureddine Sanchis. After 83 minutes, Noureddine Sanchis made it 1-6 with a short kick to the right side. La Pointe Courte's Jolan Galindo tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Christophe Pourre took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cidro Flores, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. La Pointe Courte's Diogo Queirós managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Karl Souvignet in the 93 minute of the game. LA RABIA DEL PUEBLO's Noureddine Sanchis got a good chance for a goal in the 96th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The LA RABIA DEL PUEBLO supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing LA RABIA DEL PUEBLO would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
