Gianluca Prestin hit a great freekick 10 minutes into the match. A hard shot by Joe Plantin from long distance, 11 minutes into the match, got Jolan Galindo's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. With a little luck, La Pointe Courte's Jolan Galindo got control of the ball when Junior Quintana tried to sneak it across the goal line. Kryspin Cupial came out of the goal in the 16th minute to try and stop a shot by La Pointe Courte's Yves Leite. But to his dismay, Yves Leite quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. 22 minutes into the match, La Pointe Courte's goal looked a bit too open when Uwe Birmes came free, but Jolan Galindo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Yves Leite had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Yves Leite sent away a hard shot on goal in the 28th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 28 minutes into the match, Cosa nostra Lyon's goal looked a bit too open when Yves Leite came free, but Kryspin Cupial reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Junior Quintana had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. La Pointe Courte's Jolan Galindo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Junior Quintana in the 32nd minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Yves Leite in the 34th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Kryspin Cupial prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Jolan Galindo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Félicien Boidin in the 37th minute of play. Félicien Boidin scored 1-1 in the 37th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Jolan Galindo, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The supporters of La Pointe Courte booed when Cosa nostra Lyon was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 39 match minutes in a wonderful position. Faudel Dagorne didn't get a good kick on the ball. Kryspin Cupial showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Yves Leite, who was totally free with the ball in the 40th minute. La Pointe Courte's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Josué Pagueguy in the 41st minute. It was a well-played corner which Dan Black managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. Junior Quintana received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 44th minute. Jolan Galindo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 48th minute Yves Leite shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kryspin Cupial saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Yves Leite stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. With a little luck, Cosa nostra Lyon's Kryspin Cupial got control of the ball when Yves Leite tried to sneak it across the goal line. Jolan Galindo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Horia Şuplăcan, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. La Pointe Courte's Dan Black managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Dinaras Stanaitis in the 90 minute of the game. Kryspin Cupial made a fantastic save in the 91st minute, when Yang Feng Guang sent off a good shot on target. Kryspin Cupial showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gianluca Prestin, who was totally free with the ball in the 93rd minute. The La Pointe Courte players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
