After some careless play in the Landgraaf 07 defense, Thiago Gol kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Taco Timmermans. The Landgraaf 07 fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Taco Timmermans should have stopped the shot. Taco Timmermans showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Thiago Gol in the 8th minute of the match. Taco Timmermans took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Thiago Gol, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. SCs StarS's Petr Čech proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 11th minute of the match, managed to save SCs StarS from getting a goal against them. After a defensive mix-up in Landgraaf 07's zone, Thiago Gol stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Taco Timmermans came out of the goal and Thiago Gol tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. A collision led to SCs StarS getting a freekick after 17 minutes play. 罗松棋 hit a great ball. SCs StarS's Petr Čech played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Karsten Wijnands in the 18th minute of play. When Sander Daniel fell near the penalty area in the 22nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored SCs StarS's protests and gave Sander Daniel a yellow card for diving instead. In the 22nd match minute, SCs StarS was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sander Daniel to maneuver through the defense. 罗松棋 kicked well hit freekick during the 29th minute of the match. In the 32nd minute, Thiago Gol left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The SCs StarS fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. Petr Čech made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Laurențiu Ciocan in the 35th minute of play. Thiago Gol sent away a hard shot on goal in the 41st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Taco Timmermans took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Thiago Gol, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Through an outstanding action, after 43 minutes, Petr Čech successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. The SCs StarS fans' excitement grew in the 46th match minute when SCs StarS's Thiago Gol looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-3 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. After the first half SCs StarS were leading 0-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

SCs StarS made a substitution. Robert de Graaf replaced Sander Daniel. SCs StarS's Henk Zijden was substituted for Edgar Reitsema. The wind increased when Thiago Gol made the kick off in the second half. After 54 played minutes Landgraaf 07 got a freekick which was hit by Zé Roberto Torres. 57 minutes into the game, Fabian Buckinx was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Landgraaf 07's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave SCs StarS the free kick. Fabian Buckinx kicked well hit freekick during the 57th minute of the match. Taco Timmermans showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Thiago Gol in the 58th minute of the match. The supporters of SCs StarS booed when Landgraaf 07 was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 59 match minutes in a wonderful position. Kurt Redan didn't get a good kick on the ball. 60 minutes into the match, Landgraaf 07's goal looked a bit too open when Thiago Gol came free, but Taco Timmermans reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 61 minutes into the match, Landgraaf 07's goalkeeper Taco Timmermans had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Thiago Gol. Landgraaf 07's Karsten Wijnands got a good chance for a goal in the 63rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. A hard shot 67 in the game by Thiago Gol from a close distance when the talented Taco Timmermans managed to make a qualified save. Landgraaf 07's players were relieved. In the 68th play minute Thiago Gol came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Taco Timmermans. 0-4. In the 70th minute, Thiago Gol left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The SCs StarS fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-5. Petr Čech showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Karsten Wijnands in the 73rd minute of the match. Taco Timmermans made a fantastic save in the 77th minute, when Thiago Gol sent off a good shot on target. 82 minutes into the match, Thiago Gol dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Taco Timmermans, 1-6. After a rather tough play, SCs StarS's Ted Rijkaard got a free kick in the 89th minute. SCs StarS's Petr Čech played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kurt Redan in the 94th minute of play. 95 minutes into the match, SCs StarS's goal looked a bit too open when Laurențiu Ciocan came free, but Petr Čech reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The SCs StarS supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing SCs StarS would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
