After having played for 22 minutes, Marco van Nistelrooij managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. VC Duisburg 2012's supporters crossed their fingers, but Marco van Nistelrooij was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Marco van Nistelrooij had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Casper Hulsebos made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Marco van Nistelrooij in the 27th minute of play. 29 minutes into the match, VC Duisburg 2012's goal looked a bit too open when 董泉榕 came free, but André Luiz Reis reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 31 played minutes FC Real Leonana got a freekick which was hit by Oğuzalp Yetiş. In the 32nd match minute, FC Real Leonana was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Wu Ran Jian to maneuver through the defense. In the 35th minute, Carmine Berardi got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. FC Real Leonana's Casper Hulsebos proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 38th minute of the match, managed to save FC Real Leonana from getting a goal against them. Casper Hulsebos took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Andy Neeskens, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 42 minutes into the match, FC Real Leonana's goal looked a bit too open when Marco van Nistelrooij came free, but Casper Hulsebos reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.

An unexpectedly hard shot by Marco van Nistelrooij in the 67th minute of play forced FC Real Leonana's goalkeeper Casper Hulsebos to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Andy Neeskens's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Casper Hulsebos read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 71st minute of play. 72 minutes into the game, Andy Neeskens cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0.
