Jelte Zevenberg showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ruben Seinstra in the 13th minute of the match. The Maquis's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Carel Huiting in the 14th minute. The audience was convinced that Ruben Seinstra's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Jelte Zevenberg was relentless in the 18th minute of the game. 22 minutes into the match, The Maquis's goal looked a bit too open when Ed Zeeman came free, but Walther Jano reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 38 minutes of play, Beetje Moe Re-United's Ed Zeeman made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Walther Jano was left in no man's land by his defense there! With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ruben Seinstra in the 43rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jelte Zevenberg saved Beetje Moe Re-United from getting behind. A collision led to Beetje Moe Re-United getting a freekick after 44 minutes play. Ed Zeeman hit a great ball. After a rather tough play, The Maquis's Sadettin Öktuna got a free kick in the 45th minute. Frits Melker hit a great freekick 46 minutes into the match. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Ruben Seinstra was the one to do the kick off. In the 51st minute the ball was on its way in behind Beetje Moe Re-United's goalkeeper Jelte Zevenberg, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The Maquis's Walther Jano played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Komen Schotte in the 52nd minute of play. Jelte Zevenberg made a fantastic save in the 54th minute, when Carel Huiting sent off a good shot on target. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ruben Seinstra in the 59th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jelte Zevenberg prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 61 minutes into the match, The Maquis's goal looked a bit too open when Komen Schotte came free, but Walther Jano reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jens van Basten might have been able to make a better finish in the 63rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Jelte Zevenberg. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Jens van Basten ran back to his position shaking his head. Walther Jano showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Arturo Porreca in the 64th minute of the match. Jelte Zevenberg didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Ruben Seinstra went, in the 67th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. After 70 played minutes Beetje Moe Re-United got a freekick which was hit by Oliver Looze. Beetje Moe Re-United made a substitution. Ralph Averdijk replaced Albert Sparnaaij. The supporters of The Maquis booed when Beetje Moe Re-United was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 72 match minutes in a wonderful position. Oliver Looze didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some careless play in the Beetje Moe Re-United defense, Ruben Seinstra kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Jelte Zevenberg. The Beetje Moe Re-United fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jelte Zevenberg should have stopped the shot. A throw-in in the 82nd minute of the game was made by Ralph Averdijk with Thomas Mann as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. 85 minutes into the game, Ruben Seinstra cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-3. Jelte Zevenberg was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mark Klaasens in the 89th minute of play forced The Maquis's goalkeeper Walther Jano to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ralph Averdijk got a throw-in 91 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Thomas Mann. Mark Klaasens received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 92nd minute. Walther Jano tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to Beetje Moe Re-United getting a freekick after 96 minutes play. Ralph Averdijk hit a great ball. When the final whistle went the supporters of The Maquis were delighted that their team had defeated the much more dominant Beetje Moe Re-United side.
