But to his dismay, Christoffer Gjelsvik quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. mixednutz XI's Erik Brenna proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 15th minute of the match, managed to save mixednutz XI from getting a goal against them. Jan-Ove Springfält showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rune Rundhaug, who was totally free with the ball in the 16th minute. When mixednutz XI's Hans-Petter Phan in the 18th minute got a chance for a shot 18th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

With a couple of smart ball manuevers Torjus Fjellheim in the 53rd managed to get into a good position.
