Luis Bonet started the match with the kick off. Pelle Anundsson made in the 8th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Åsnes's Jan-Arne Krogstad. 10 minutes into the match, İskender Baki Sabi notched a goal, 1-0, to the right of Daustad's Jo Øverås. Jo Øverås was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 13th minute, Luis Bonet left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Daustad fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. Jan-Arne Krogstad hit a great freekick 17 minutes into the match. Luis Bonet might have been able to make a better finish in the 18th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Tom Røise. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Luis Bonet ran back to his position shaking his head. Tom Røise made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Luis Bonet in the 18th minute of play. 20 minutes into the match, Åsnes's goal looked a bit too open when Luis Bonet came free, but Tom Røise reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Tom Røise took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Luis Bonet, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Daustad's Pelle Anundsson quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Amund Stålesen, made in the 27th minute of the game. After 28 played minutes Daustad got a freekick which was hit by Wincenty Cisek. In the 32nd minute İskender Baki Sabi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jo Øverås saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 32nd minute, İskender Baki Sabi left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Åsnes fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-1. Tom Røise made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Luis Bonet in the 37th minute of play. İskender Baki Sabi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 40th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After a rather tough play, Åsnes's Jan-Arne Krogstad got a free kick in the 41st minute. 44 minutes into the match, Daustad's Luis Bonet sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Tom Røise narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After 45 played minutes Åsnes got a freekick which was hit by Jan-Arne Krogstad. Jan-Arne Krogstad hit a great freekick 46 minutes into the match. Ola Moland hit a great freekick 47 minutes into the match. Åsnes's Al Wieczorek was substituted for İskender Baki Sabi. The supporters of Åsnes booed when Daustad was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 48 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ola Moland didn't get a good kick on the ball. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-1 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Al Wieczorek to make the kick off. In the 53rd minute Luis Bonet shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tom Røise saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Pelle Anundsson made in the 56th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Åsnes's Cornel Dinu. Daustad's Jo Øverås played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Al Wieczorek in the 59th minute of play. Mieszko Pilsudski could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 61st minute of the match, but Tom Røise made a huge save. Tom Røise showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Luis Bonet, who was totally free with the ball in the 62nd minute. Al Wieczorek might have been able to make a better finish in the 64th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Jo Øverås. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Al Wieczorek ran back to his position shaking his head. Mieszko Pilsudski received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 71st minute. Tom Røise tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 75th minute of the match, Mieszko Pilsudski tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Tom Røise saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Al Wieczorek might have been able to make a better finish in the 82nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Jo Øverås. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Al Wieczorek ran back to his position shaking his head. With a little luck, Åsnes's Tom Røise got control of the ball when Luis Bonet tried to sneak it across the goal line. After a rather tough play, Daustad's Mats Bentsen got a free kick in the 84th minute. After some careless play in the Daustad defense, Al Wieczorek kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Jo Øverås. The Daustad fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jo Øverås should have stopped the shot. Jo Øverås made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Al Wieczorek in the 97th minute of play. 97 minutes into the game, Åsnes's Al Wieczorek nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Jo Øverås made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 4-1. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Åsnes fans cheered their team off the field, for while Daustad had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
