With a little luck, NTA19's Jan-Frode Aarseth got control of the ball when Hans Sandaker tried to sneak it across the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Hans Sandaker got free with Jan-Frode Aarseth in the 3rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 5 minutes into the match, RotløsFotball IL's Roy Davidsen sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Jan-Frode Aarseth narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 7 minutes into the match, NTA19's goalkeeper Jan-Frode Aarseth had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Preben Simonsen. Hans Sandaker could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 10th minute of the match, but Jan-Frode Aarseth made a huge save. RotløsFotball IL's Per-Kristian Andvik played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rune Grøndalen in the 13th minute of play. Through an outstanding action, after 14 minutes, Jan-Frode Aarseth successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. 18 minutes into the match, RotløsFotball IL's goal looked a bit too open when Rune Grøndalen came free, but Per-Kristian Andvik reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Rune Tronstad in the 19th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Per-Kristian Andvik saved RotløsFotball IL from getting behind. Preben Simonsen in the 22ndth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Jan-Frode Aarseth, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Per-Kristian Andvik showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Chris Godø, who was totally free with the ball in the 23rd minute. When the match had gone on for 45 minutes, Runar Helliesen took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Jan-Frode Aarseth to make any attempt to save it. Christer Eidsvåg kicked well hit freekick during the 47th minute of the match.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Runar Helliesen to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 53rd minute Markus Huse shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jan-Frode Aarseth saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 54 minutes into the game, Jan-Kenneth Frøystad was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. NTA19's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave RotløsFotball IL the free kick. In the 54th minute, Jan-Kenneth Frøystad hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Jan-Frode Aarseth showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Markus Huse in the 56th minute of the match. Rune Grøndalen didn't get a good kick on the ball. 60 minutes into the game, Olof Leknes was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. NTA19's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave RotløsFotball IL the free kick. In the 61st match minute, NTA19 was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Olof Leknes to maneuver through the defense. If Preben Simonsen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jan-Frode Aarseth showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tarjei Åkre, who was totally free with the ball in the 65th minute. The audience was convinced that Rune Tronstad's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Per-Kristian Andvik was relentless in the 70th minute of the game. Jan-Frode Aarseth made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Runar Helliesen in the 74th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 82nd minute, Rune Tronstad managed to get in a good position for a shot. NTA19's supporters rose to their feet, but Rune Tronstad was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Per-Kristian Andvik breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Rune Tronstad recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 84th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. RotløsFotball IL's Per-Kristian Andvik proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 86th minute of the match, managed to save RotløsFotball IL from getting a goal against them. Rune Grøndalen sent away a hard shot on goal in the 90th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. NTA19's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
