An unexpectedly hard shot by Brage Endresen in the 20th minute of play forced Cheeky Nuts United's goalkeeper Elton John to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 21st minute, Christoffer Hernes ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Elton John was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. In the 26th minute Christoffer Hernes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Elton John saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Jon-Erik Vedøy to make the kick off. With an all-out effort, Bakarvågen's Elton John threw himself towards the right post 53 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Jonathan Løvland, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. In the 55thth minute of the game Jonathan Løvland who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Cheeky Nuts United's Elton John was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 56 minutes had been played when some careless play by Cheeky Nuts United's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Henning Jahr was slow to take the kick. During this time Bakarvågen's players had a chance to rest. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Jonathan Løvland in the 58th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Elton John saved Cheeky Nuts United from getting behind. In the 59th minute of the match Bakarvågen got a corner. Cheeky Nuts United's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Henning Jahr ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner led Bakarvågen's Henning Jahr to fire away a dangerous shot which Elton John despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. In the 65th minute, Jon-Erik Vedøy got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When Bakarvågen's Brage Endresen in the 71st minute got a chance for a shot 71st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. After 91 played minutes Bakarvågen got a freekick which was hit by Fredrik Opheim. A hard shot 93 in the game by Jonathan Løvland from a close distance when the talented Elton John managed to make a qualified save. Cheeky Nuts United's players were relieved. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Bakarvågen walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
