Olimpia HSB's Vladan Kovačević played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ettore Longo in the 9th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Miroslaw Miazga in the 10th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Vladan Kovačević saved Olimpia HSB from getting behind. In the 11th match minute, Olimpia HSB was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sixto Yanguas to maneuver through the defense. 12 minutes into the game, Florian Pruss cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Vladan Kovačević was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fabian Czeszejko in the 17th minute of play forced Czarni Kozłowa Góra's goalkeeper Piotr Skoroda to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 20th minute of the match Czarni Kozłowa Góra got a corner. Olimpia HSB's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Florian Pruss ran over to the corner to take the kick. A nice corner shot did that Florian Pruss got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Vladan Kovačević quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Miroslaw Miazga in the 21st minute of play forced Olimpia HSB's goalkeeper Vladan Kovačević to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Miroslaw Miazga scored 2-0 in the 23rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Vladan Kovačević, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Olimpia HSB's Vladan Kovačević proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 31st minute of the match, managed to save Olimpia HSB from getting a goal against them. 34 minutes into the match, Czarni Kozłowa Góra's goal looked a bit too open when Fabian Czeszejko came free, but Piotr Skoroda reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ettore Longo got free with Vladan Kovačević in the 38th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Miroslaw Miazga could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 40th minute of the match, but Vladan Kovačević made a huge save. The supporters of Olimpia HSB booed when Czarni Kozłowa Góra was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 42 match minutes in a wonderful position. Grzegorz Cichowski didn't get a good kick on the ball. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

Czarni Kozłowa Góra's Tadeusz Waldoch was substituted for Grzegorz Cichowski. The wind increased when Fabian Czeszejko made the kick off in the second half. In the 60th minute, Tomasz Resel hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Miroslaw Miazga in the 62nd minute of play forced Olimpia HSB's goalkeeper Vladan Kovačević to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Fabian Czeszejko's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 64thth minute, Piotr Skoroda skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. In the 65th minute of the game, Ettore Longo landed unfortunately after trying to head the ball, and pulled a muscle in the back, so badly that he had to leave the field. Nikola Mirotić's late challenge caught a Czarni Kozłowa Góra's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Nikola Mirotić helped the player get up and apologised. In the 66th minute, Nikola Mirotić hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a defensive mix-up in Czarni Kozłowa Góra's zone, Fernando Morientes stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Piotr Skoroda came out of the goal and Fernando Morientes tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Olimpia HSB made a substitution. Jacek Pietrowiak replaced Fabian Czeszejko. If Jacek Pietrowiak had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Jacek Pietrowiak's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Piotr Skoroda firmly grabbed it by the left post. Vladan Kovačević took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Florian Pruss, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 81st minute, Olimpia HSB's Jacek Pietrowiak ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Piotr Skoroda. Piotr Skoroda yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-1. Jacek Pietrowiak could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 88th minute of the match, but Piotr Skoroda made a huge save. Olimpia HSB's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
