With a little luck, Garsås IF's Alfons Sjö got control of the ball when Onurhan Çinuçin tried to sneak it across the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sven-Ove Stål in the 4th minute of play forced Peace Home Street Boys's goalkeeper Per-Oskar Hedberg to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 44th minute Wiktor Strömqvist shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alfons Sjö saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Per-Oskar Hedberg came out of the goal in the 45th minute to try and stop a shot by Garsås IF's Sven-Ove Stål. But to his dismay, Sven-Ove Stål quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Peace Home Street Boys's Per-Oskar Hedberg played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sven-Ove Stål in the 51st minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 52nd minute, Enrico Cesaroni managed to get in a good position for a shot. Garsås IF's supporters rose to their feet, but Enrico Cesaroni was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Per-Oskar Hedberg breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Jan-Åke Jonasson made a great header on Garsås IF's corner, it was just that Peace Home Street Boys's Per-Oskar Hedberg managed to reach the ball for a save.
