An unexpectedly hard shot by Aaron Lundqvist in the 10th minute of play forced Skövde AIK's goalkeeper Karl-Erik Norström to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 11 minutes of play, Mantorp's Bernt Kihlberg made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Karl-Erik Norström was left in no man's land by his defense there! 14 minutes into the match, Skövde AIK's Chen Ao Fan sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Sven-Olof Gummeson narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After some careless play in the Mantorp defense, Chen Ao Fan kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Sven-Olof Gummeson. The Mantorp fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Sven-Olof Gummeson should have stopped the shot. With a little luck, Skövde AIK's Karl-Erik Norström got control of the ball when Evert Söderberg tried to sneak it across the goal line. Edvard Palmkvist hit a great freekick 21 minutes into the match. In the 22nd minute, Chen Ao Fan left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Skövde AIK fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-2. Bernt Kihlberg could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 31st minute of the match, but Karl-Erik Norström made a huge save. Karl-Erik Norström stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Bernt Kihlberg's shot from short distance in the 31st minute. Chen Ao Fan scored 1-4 in the 33rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Sven-Olof Gummeson, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Aaron Lundqvist in the 38th minute of play forced Skövde AIK's goalkeeper Karl-Erik Norström to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Skövde AIK's Henrik Lönn quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Edvard Palmkvist, made in the 40th minute of the game. After 45 minutes of play, Skövde AIK's Chen Ao Fan made it 1-5 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Sven-Olof Gummeson was left in no man's land by his defense there! After the first half Skövde AIK were leading 1-5. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Chen Ao Fan was the one to do the kick off. In the 51st minute Kevin Keegan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sven-Olof Gummeson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 52 played minutes Skövde AIK got a freekick which was hit by Calle Melberg. With a little luck, Mantorp's Sven-Olof Gummeson got control of the ball when Chen Ao Fan tried to sneak it across the goal line. Karl-Erik Norström showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bernt Kihlberg in the 61st minute of the match. Karl-Erik Norström didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Aaron Lundqvist went, in the 62nd minute, to the upper right corner, 2-5 was the resulting score. 73 minutes into the match, Skövde AIK's goal looked a bit too open when Sven-Edvin Henriksson came free, but Karl-Erik Norström reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 75 played minutes Skövde AIK got a freekick which was hit by Calle Melberg. Mantorp's Mats Ingemarsson was substituted for Bernt Kihlberg. Mantorp's Billy Fågel was substituted for Wiktor Östensson. A collision led to Skövde AIK getting a freekick after 76 minutes play. Calle Melberg hit a great ball. 82 minutes into the match, Chen Ao Fan notched a goal, 2-6, to the right of Mantorp's Sven-Olof Gummeson. Sven-Olof Gummeson was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. If Chen Ao Fan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Karl-Erik Norström showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mats Ingemarsson in the 92nd minute of the match. 93 minutes into the match, Sven-Edvin Henriksson notched a goal, 3-6, to the right of Skövde AIK's Karl-Erik Norström. Karl-Erik Norström was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it.
