In the 13th minute Gösta Kvalfält shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Eric Soned saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Eric Soned showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Juan Fernando Quinteros in the 16th minute of the match. After 17 minutes Étoile Sportive Du Sahel's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Juan Fernando Quinteros who took care of the corner kick. The corner ended in Juan Fernando Quinteros almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Étoile Sportive Du Sahel's Eric Soned did a great save. Arvid Säv stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Radu Fetea's shot from short distance in the 27th minute. When Radu Fetea came up free with the goalie in the 29th minute, the Étoile Sportive Du Sahel fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Radu Fetea couldn't finish the play. Arvid Säv made a fantastic save in the 32nd minute, when Jim Njurenius sent off a good shot on target. Eric Soned took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Aurelio Cesaro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 36thth minute of the game Gösta Kvalfält who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Étoile Sportive Du Sahel's Eric Soned was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 41st minute, Morgan Möllgren got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

For all the effort they put into the match, the Sparsör BF players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Étoile Sportive Du Sahel.
