Skövde AIK's Karl-Erik Norström played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Liu Nan in the 4th minute of play. Takis Zafiriou made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Chen Ao Fan in the 6th minute of play. When Liu Nan fell near the penalty area in the 8th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Arvidsjaur FF's protests and gave Liu Nan a yellow card for diving instead. In the 8th match minute, Arvidsjaur FF was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Liu Nan to maneuver through the defense. Takis Zafiriou made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Chen Ao Fan in the 10th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Skövde AIK's zone, Michael Dahlberg stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Karl-Erik Norström came out of the goal and Michael Dahlberg tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 16 minutes into the game, Skövde AIK's Chen Ao Fan nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Takis Zafiriou made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. Chen Ao Fan's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 22ndth minute, Takis Zafiriou skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. A hard shot 22 in the game by Chen Ao Fan from a close distance when the talented Takis Zafiriou managed to make a qualified save. Arvidsjaur FF's players were relieved. Karl-Erik Norström took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Liu Nan, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Takis Zafiriou showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Chen Ao Fan, who was totally free with the ball in the 30th minute. 31 minutes into the match, Skövde AIK's goal looked a bit too open when Ian Odén came free, but Karl-Erik Norström reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ian Odén in the 34th minute of play forced Skövde AIK's goalkeeper Karl-Erik Norström to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Karl-Erik Norström came out of the goal in the 37th minute to try and stop a shot by Arvidsjaur FF's Ian Odén. But to his dismay, Ian Odén quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. Karl-Erik Norström showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ian Odén, who was totally free with the ball in the 39th minute. After 41 played minutes Arvidsjaur FF got a freekick which was hit by Axel Björk. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ian Odén in the 45th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Karl-Erik Norström saved Skövde AIK from getting behind. When Ian Odén got free in front of the goal in the 46th minute he wasn't very focused and chipped the ball just over the goal. Karl-Erik Norström was delighted since he was out of position and the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Chen Ao Fan to strike the kick off in the second half. Takis Zafiriou took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Georg Norström, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Georg Norström scored 2-1 in the 52nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Takis Zafiriou, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Zbyszek Pliszka charged in rather forcefully in the 54th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Zbyszek Pliszka the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Arvidsjaur FF's Zbyszek Pliszka got a free kick in the 54th minute. Michael Dahlberg sent away a hard shot on goal in the 58th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A nice corner shot did that Henrik Lönn got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Takis Zafiriou quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. When Arvidsjaur FF's Ian Odén in the 69th minute got a chance for a shot 69th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Skövde AIK's goalie prevented a goal. In the 73rd minute, Jerry Williams hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Skövde AIK's Hjalmar Hägert was substituted for Lu Rong Yi. Arvidsjaur FF's Nikola Tesla was substituted for Zbyszek Pliszka. After a defensive mix-up in Skövde AIK's zone, Ian Odén stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Karl-Erik Norström came out of the goal and Ian Odén tried to chip the ball over his head.
