In the 14th minute Guido Python shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sixten Tunander saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Sixten Tunander took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Guido Python, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Petter Skarkman in the 17th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Sixten Tunander prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 20th minute Petter Skarkman shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sixten Tunander saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 22 minutes had been played when some careless play by FC Hammarby Sjöstad's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Michael Näver was slow to take the kick. During this time Protegéerna's players had a chance to rest. A nice corner shot did that Michael Näver got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Sixten Tunander quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Protegéerna's Ingemar Åberg proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 28th minute of the match, managed to save Protegéerna from getting a goal against them. Michael Näver made a great header on Protegéerna's corner, it was just that FC Hammarby Sjöstad's Sixten Tunander managed to reach the ball for a save. Sixten Tunander made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Petter Skarkman in the 34th minute of play. In the 35th minute of the match Protegéerna got a corner. FC Hammarby Sjöstad's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Michael Näver ran over to the corner to take the kick. Leon Ferfecki sent away a hard shot on goal in the 40th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of Protegéerna booed when FC Hammarby Sjöstad was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 43 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ciriaco Terciero didn't get a good kick on the ball.

Petter Skarkman struck a weak shot in the 53rd minute. Sixten Tunander didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Protegéerna. After 55 played minutes FC Hammarby Sjöstad got a freekick which was hit by Sarracino De la Rosa. Petter Skarkman's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Sixten Tunander read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 58th minute of play. After 60 minutes FC Hammarby Sjöstad's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Michael Näver who took care of the corner kick. The corner led Protegéerna's Michael Näver to fire away a dangerous shot which Sixten Tunander despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. FC Hammarby Sjöstad's Sixten Tunander played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Guido Python in the 61st minute of play. Ozan Heybetli took the ball and in the 67 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Ingemar Åberg. Ingemar Åberg dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-0. Protegéerna's Jonny Ånger was substituted for Yasen Súlov. Protegéerna made a substitution. Jan Persson replaced Guido Python. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Petter Skarkman in the 73rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Sixten Tunander prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Petter Skarkman received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Sixten Tunander came out and tried to block the shot, but Petter Skarkman slotted it home off the left post making it 2-1 in the 81st minute. Ozan Heybetli took the ball and in the 86 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Ingemar Åberg. Ingemar Åberg dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-1. In the 89th minute the ball was on its way in behind Protegéerna's goalkeeper Ingemar Åberg, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. FC Hammarby Sjöstad's Sixten Tunander proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 91st minute of the match, managed to save FC Hammarby Sjöstad from getting a goal against them. FC Hammarby Sjöstad's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
