Berrin Gaarden succeeded in the game's 5th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 1-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Francesco Totti in the 11th minute of play forced Lufsarna's goalkeeper Charlie Malmgren to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Berrin Gaarden kicked well hit freekick during the 19th minute of the match. Charlie Malmgren made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Francesco Totti in the 21st minute of play. 25 minutes in the game Isaltino Paes did a throw-in, and the ball was quickly in game thanks to Silas Duarte. After 30 played minutes Hammarby IF got a freekick which was hit by Bo-Erik Wallin. After having played for 30 minutes, Christoffer Engman managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Lufsarna's supporters crossed their fingers, but Christoffer Engman was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Manolis Matsaggos in the 32nd minute of play forced Hammarby IF's goalkeeper Holger Vester to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Frans Beckenbauer hit a great freekick 33 minutes into the match. 38 minutes into the match, Lufsarna's goalkeeper Charlie Malmgren had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Kaj Björklund. Holger Vester showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Manolis Matsaggos, who was totally free with the ball in the 43rd minute. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Francesco Totti made a kick off. 57 minutes into the match, Lufsarna's goal looked a bit too open when Isaltino Paes came free, but Charlie Malmgren reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Lufsarna's Gert Dahlqvist was substituted for Christoffer Engman. Charlie Malmgren took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Berrin Gaarden, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, Lufsarna's Ted Käcker got a free kick in the 74th minute. Hammarby IF's Gösta Söderberg was substituted for Berrin Gaarden. Ted Käcker kicked well hit freekick during the 75th minute of the match. Thanks to Lufsarna's goalie finding himself so far out he could grab the ball Frans Beckenbauer tried to make a shot after getting passed the defense. Charlie Malmgren seemed to really have strength and confidence after that save. Hammarby IF's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Bo-Erik Wallin in the 78th minute. Gösta Söderberg was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. When Gösta Söderberg came up free with the goalie in the 82nd minute, the Hammarby IF fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gösta Söderberg couldn't finish the play. Thanks to some nice moves Manolis Matsaggos could shoot a difficult shot in the 84th minute, which Holger Vester however easily saved by the left post. Charlie Malmgren took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gösta Söderberg, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Lufsarna's Charlie Malmgren played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ola Bremming in the 87th minute of play. In the 89th minute Ola Bremming shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Charlie Malmgren saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Charlie Malmgren showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gösta Söderberg in the 91st minute of the match. In the 91st minute, Gösta Söderberg ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Charlie Malmgren was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-0. 94 minutes into the game, Hammarby IF's Gösta Söderberg nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Charlie Malmgren made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-0. When the referee ended the match the Hammarby IF players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
