In the 34th minute, Sebastian Percival fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. Fabrice Féral kicked well hit freekick during the 36th minute of the match. Tiger Kahn took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cliff Kershaw, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a little luck, Mordham FC's Tiger Kahn got control of the ball when Spike Foley tried to sneak it across the goal line. With an all-out effort, Club Atlético de Newell's Tiger Kahn threw himself towards the right post 43 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Sebastian Percival, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

Jeremy Horseman might have been able to make a better finish in the 92nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Gary Kelly. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Sebastian Percival scored 1-0 in the 95th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Tiger Kahn, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot.
