Nicolás Tauber made a fantastic save in the 13th minute, when Vladimiro Gago sent off a good shot on target. 13 minutes into the match, MZ Fénix's goalkeeper Nicolás Tauber had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Vladimiro Gago. Nicolás Tauber made an important save on a dangerous shot by Hélder Soveral in the 14th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Hélder Soveral in the 19th minute a chance for a shot on goal. The crowd rose to their feet as Hélder Soveral kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Nicolás Tauber. That made the score 1-1 in the 27 minute of play. The throw-in from Maicon Azevedo in the 29th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by MZ Fénix's Vygantas Petrošius. 33 minutes into the match, MZ Fénix's Adalberto Viegas sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that André Figueiredo narrowly saved just below the crossbar. MZ Fénix's Nicolás Tauber played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hélder Soveral in the 35th minute of play. André Figueiredo dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2. After some fancy dribbling in the 46th minute, Hélder Soveral managed to get in a good position for a shot. Minho FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Hélder Soveral was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Nicolás Tauber breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick.

Minho FC's Magno Aparecido was substituted for Hélder Soveral. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Magno Aparecido was the one to do the kick off. Nicolás Tauber showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Magno Aparecido in the 54th minute of the match. 59 minutes into the match, MZ Fénix's Adalberto Viegas sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that André Figueiredo narrowly saved just below the crossbar. MZ Fénix's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Magno Aparecido was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-2. 83 minutes into the match, MZ Fénix's goal looked a bit too open when Magno Aparecido came free, but Nicolás Tauber reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Adalberto Viegas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Magno Aparecido scored 3-2 in the 88th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Nicolás Tauber, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Cai Yuan Yuan recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 94th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Minho FC's Timóteo Camargo was substituted for Salah el Din Khan.
