Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Lisandro Tab in the 20th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck David Bastos prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The supporters of Delta FS booed when AM United was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 21 match minutes in a wonderful position. Roberto Tinoco didn't get a good kick on the ball. AM United's David Bastos played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Matias Corte-Real in the 23rd minute of play. Delta FS were awarded a corner in the 24th minute after AM United's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Song Qian Wei took the corner. 26 minutes into the match, Lisandro Tab had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of David Bastos. AM United's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Lisandro Tab was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. After a defensive mix-up in Delta FS's zone, Teodoro Freire stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gualter Roriz came out of the goal and Teodoro Freire tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 32nd minute, Delta FS's Andaka Raa seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Andaka Raa the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Delta FS protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Andaka Raa had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 32nd minute of the game. One of Delta FS:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of AM United:s goal. 40 minutes into the match, Delta FS's goal looked a bit too open when Angelo Pessoa came free, but Gualter Roriz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Nikos Christou fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gualter Roriz having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jorge Morais in the 46th minute of play forced Delta FS's goalkeeper Gualter Roriz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Andaka Pulatov might have been able to make a better finish in the 83rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over David Bastos. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Andaka Pulatov ran back to his position shaking his head. If Nikos Christou had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After 86 played minutes Delta FS got a freekick which was hit by Walter Samuel. Gualter Roriz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Teodoro Freire in the 91st minute of the match. The supporters of AM United booed when Delta FS was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 91 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hélder Cavaco didn't get a good kick on the ball. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The AM United fans cheered their team off the field, for while Delta FS had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
