The audience thought a goal was coming when Rodolfo Montay got free with David Bastos in the 7th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. David Bastos didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 8th minute, which inside left pole to 1-0. AM United's David Bastos played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rui Calçada in the 10th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rui Calçada in the 12th minute of play forced AM United's goalkeeper David Bastos to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Campus Douro Academy's Eliseu Bragança played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Teodoro Freire in the 24th minute of play. After 24 minutes, Teodoro Freire made it 2-1 with a short kick to the right side. Campus Douro Academy's Eliseu Bragança tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. AM United's David Bastos played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Idalécio Rebelo in the 27th minute of play. David Bastos showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rui Calçada, who was totally free with the ball in the 29th minute. Eliseu Bragança was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. When Rui Calçada came up free with the goalie in the 41st minute, the Campus Douro Academy fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Rui Calçada couldn't finish the play. Jorge Morais sent away a hard shot on goal in the 43rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Campus Douro Academy's Eliseu Bragança played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Angelo Pessoa in the 44th minute of play. David Bastos was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Rodolfo Montay showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 3-2 in the 47 minute of play. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Teodoro Freire to make the kick off. Campus Douro Academy's Rodolfo Miguéis was substituted for Godofredo Pepillo. Eliseu Bragança was a little too slow when Jorge Morais got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 83rd minute. The score was now 4-3. After 87 minutes of play, Campus Douro Academy's Milosz Kissel made it 5-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. David Bastos was left in no man's land by his defense there! 94 minutes into the match, AM United's goal looked a bit too open when Milosz Kissel came free, but David Bastos reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Campus Douro Academy walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
